Little forest fairytale II

mushrooms

These are mostly candid photos
which I adore,
imperfections and all
maybe even more

A stick and a leaf.
What more do you need?

hide and seek

I love these little nature walks in 'the forest', by the park.
Here is another little forest fairytale, at half this age again, eighteen months, which feels like both yesterday and a world away from today.

Winter rose gardens II ~ Looking for Spring

These are my last few favourites from last year's Winter rose gardens,
a short play in the gardens, looking for signs of Spring.

The roses were pruned in their winter beds, but we found winter flowers, camellia bushes, and new daffodils on the outskirts of the gardens, and played hide and seek among the pathways and trees.

lensbaby daydreams

Sometimes it is just perfect to be imperfect, forget technically good and just play.
To be childlike and see things in a different way...
No wonder I love lensbaby lenses. They are daydream-like, soft, selectively blurred, beautiful, and simply too much magical fun! We've had more than one otherwise ordinary hour enlivened by second hand vintage dresses, old toys, classic books and lensbaby play.

"Would you tell me,' said Alice, a little timidly 'why are you painting those roses?'
