Tea Pony, vintage children's designer love, and a little Belle and Boo

I have been meaning to share one of my children's clothing industry favourites, the wonderful, vintage inspired Tea Pony.

Australian made and so sweet, Tea Pony has such lovely vintage inspired, unique and imaginative designs. x

Another favourite Tea Pony creation is the Belle and Boo 'Lost' dress,

... a collaboration with the lovely UK artist, Belle and Boo, the creator of some very sweet children's illustrations.

If I may sidetrack for a while, because it is funny who is connected to who in this small world... The above Tea Pony dress was lost, with little wooden duck on the back of the dress as well.
Here is the Belle & Boo print 'found'...

I also heard of Belle and Boo from child photography friends, via her very special illustrations for the beautiful Ava.

... and Ava's mother Sheye is such a wonderful soul, a beautiful children's photographer and writer.

Winter rose gardens II ~ Looking for Spring

These are my last few favourites from last year's Winter rose gardens,
a short play in the gardens, looking for signs of Spring.

The roses were pruned in their winter beds, but we found winter flowers, camellia bushes, and new daffodils on the outskirts of the gardens, and played hide and seek among the pathways and trees.

Baby dress

Baby dress drying in the wind in sunset light. xo

My little one is getting older and the baby days of my girl are ending,
baby and little toddler things are being forgotten, finished or put away, for the little big two-ish and three-ish preschooler days ahead.
I wanted to try and capture some of these nearly gone baby things, like the little classic baby dresses that added a bit of fairytale and imaginary play to our mornings and afternoons, or a bit of whimsy with her favourite stripe tights. She still wears this baby dress though! Because she is tiny still. :) But the dear little stripe tights are outgrown. :(

*p.s. I wrote this and saved to drafts last Spring. She is younger than that again here, two and a quarter. x

Late Autumn Walk

It's nearly Spring and here I am posting some images from a late Autumn walk in the rose gardens with an adventurous two year old, in vintage thrifted coat, stripey tights and favourite red shoes, first baby plaits, and exquisite pearl jewellery from Little Pearls, all on a gorgeous (though cold) late afternoon. xo

You can't see a lot of the little pearls here but Little Pearls was also the inspiration and reason for our beautiful little garden walk/adventure that late May day. :)

This gazebo in the rose gardens was soon called the 'little house'. Fun to run back and forth to, after rose and garden explorations...

Nearly Winter and there were still many roses in bloom.

And then the little one slowed down, at last, to explore walking big brother's scooter here there and everywhere.

This is what I wrote then: Her brother's scooter. She adores it, walks it everywhere and wishes she could balance it properly and ride it without needing someone to help her balance. I'm sure she will some day...

... and now of course she is a pro!
